New Board members were elected at the 2009/10 Annual General Meeting. This morning Board meeting was extended to additional employer members of the Alliance. The day reviewed decha's achievements and coming challenges.
The day was chaired by the Alliance Manager, Craig Rowbotham, who gave an overview of the financial review for the past three years. He also set down the strategic objectives and the Alliances achievements against these objectives.
A new Board was elected:

• Craig Rowbotham (DECHA) - Vice Chair
• Pam Crawley /Janet Malpass (Accept Care)
• Shelagh Syson / Yvonne Shillock (Carewatch)
• Angela Donohue (Dale Care LTD)
• Bob Elliott (Durham County Council)- Legal Veto
• Julian Brown (Durham County Council) - Non Voting
• Anne Graham (Resolve)
• Terry Morton (Durham Alliance)
• Ray Coburn (Representational Advocacy Service)
• Alison Russell (Real Life Real Choices)
• Caroline Hilton (NYAS)
Decha would like to thank these Board members for volunteering to represent the private, independent and voluntary sector. Decha would also like to thank the previous board members for their contribution.
At the AGM a number of guest speakers were invited to speak about subjects which decha are heavily involved in such as:
• Personalisation
• Dignity in Care
• Advocacy
• Mobility/ Falls Prevention.
