Decha are pleased to offer 10 places on the above qualification for our membership through Bishop Auckland College. Each employer member is able to nominate 2 members of staff in the first instance. This module is funded and decha only requires a £9 booking fee, payable before the course commences.
The requirements of this course are that all staff registered must attend a first day induction session, held at Mount Oswald Golf Club on the 8th February 2010, between 1 - 4 pm.
This session will encompass an initial assessment, induction and a taught session providing the learners with underpinning knowledge. In total this will be 3 hours. Bishop Auckland College will then arrange with the learners to perform another 3 hours of observation and individual support within the learners working environment. The only criteria to enrol on this course are that the learner must work with, or support the process of administering medication. If they do not then it will be difficult for the learner’s competence to be observed and assessed.
