On 30th April 2009 a major regional event was held at the Radisson Hotel in Durham City, to discuss the future of Social Work.
This event was hosted by the university of Durham, and supported by Wolfson Research Institute, the North East Improvement & Efficiency Partnership, the North East branches of ADASS (Association of Directors of Adult Social Care) and ADCS (Association of Directors of Childrens Services), Skills for Care and Children's Workforce Development Council.
